The Senate just passed a last-minute spending bill that includes restrictions written by Senators Mitch McConnell and Kamala Harris. These provisions would redefine hemp and outlaw most products currently legal under the 2018 Farm Bill.

What the Bill Would Do

- Ban Delta-8 THC, THCa flower, and synthesized cannabinoids.
- Outlaw full-spectrum CBD products that contain trace THC from natural hemp extraction.
- Potentially ban all online hemp sales nationwide.
- Force 30,000+ hemp businesses to close and eliminate over 350,000 American jobs.
To put this in perspective: a single 30ml full-spectrum CBD tincture contains 5–10mg of natural THC — more than 20 times the proposed limit. Legal hemp would be reclassified as marijuana.
